One of the sources I’ve found called “Yucca Mountain: Nuclear Waste” by Jane Long and Rodney Ewing talks about facts involving nuclear waste but also specifically talks about the Yucca Mountain dispute. This article also goes in to detail about the transportation of this nuclear waste and the dangers we could face. In “Transportation of Spent Nuclear Fuel and High-Level Radioactive Waste to a Repository-Factsheet”, the authors focus mainly on the transportation of nuclear waste, making these two articles very similar. One thing that separates these articles from one another is how the Long and Ewing article focuses mainly on Yucca and transportation while the other one goes into detail about the government involvement and people being affected by this transfer. I believe this one will be a good source because it touches all the bases I need to write my research paper, including Yucca Mountain, nuclear waste and the environment. Making this source a very valid option to use while baking up my own thoughts and theories included in this issue.
