Included are the ideas of Nicolas Carr, that state that the internet and other technology is making us “stupid”. But although some of the material describes this new age revolution as bad for us, some people are saying its actually good for the way we think and learn, while some lie in between. Video games are an example of this good/bad technology that is brought up. I could apply this information to my research about text messaging by using it to show that while in some ways texting could turn out to impair our abilities to spell and form sentences, it could also be helping us by teaching us a new way to communicate and write that could only prove easier for generations to come.
