An organization called the IPEE (the international political economy and the environment) focus on plans to promote development to boost our standards of economic and environmental means of living. It explains the extensive processes to go through to promote certain changes for any area. This shares a relation to another source titled “Building The Environmental State” by James Meadowcroft. These two sources have a mission. Their intent is to make a change, a difference. There is a slight difference between the two. “Building the Environmental State” is all about how Canada’s environmental issues can and do affect our own environmental issues. This is a good point to make a connection because it shows that other countries can affect our own and vice versa. In “International Political Economy and the Environment: Back to the Basics?” it is more towards plans of action. It is directed more towards the economic aspect and its connection to the environment. This source will fit in well with the uses in my research because it answers one side to the question. It describes the link between the economy and the environment and how they both are important. It leads me to question the measure of significance both the environment and the economy have on the people. The people are what construct our society and economy. The environment is nature-made but the people still have a great impact on it.
