discusses how the youth is starting a new generation of literacy that has never been used or tested before. The author explains the importance of new online media sources and the important role they now play in so many people’s lives. Bronwyn also explains that it is bound to happen and people need to just accept that this form of literacy is taking over in forms of websites such as Twitter and Facebook. Author Andrew Sullivan, of “Why I Blog” would agree with this article because he too knows that this form of literacy is bound to take over, and that he jumped on the bandwagon as soon as he could understand that people are writing far more than ever due to media sources, such as his favorite, blogging. Lev Grossman, of “You-Yes-You- Are TIME’s Person of the Year”, would also like this article because it shows that TIME magazine said it first. They were right, the World Wide Web was taking over, and two years later it is proven by this author who doesn’t seem completely at ease yet about the idea of it, but understands the importance of it at the same time. I could use the line “What will not change, however, is the importance of identity in terms of literacy practices”. This line would be very useful because it explains the importance of keeping literacy in use. It doesn’t matter how we do so, but just doing so needs to continue on to allow the human race to communicate efficiently.
